Ippei Takushima is a co-founder of Kimura Takushima & Yamaguchi. Ippei specializes in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital investments and commercial transactions, such as licensing, distributorship, services and investments, with a strong focus on cross-border transactions. He also frequently provides advice and representation for dispute resolution matters relating to such cross-border transactions. During 2009 and 2010, he taught civil law (including contract and tort laws) as a lecturer at the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law.

Before co-founding the firm in 2011, he was a partner at TMI Associates, one of the leading law firms in Japan.
